Winter Weather Procedures

School Closures

Joshua Institute follows the West Ada school district’s decision for closures. If West Ada schools close for the day, then Joshua Institute will also close for the day.

It is not common, but occasionally, Joshua Institute may call a school closure even if West Ada does not.

Joshua Institute will notify parents of a JI school closure by 7:00 a.m. via email.

Again, IF West Ada closes, then JI will definitely close as well.

Delayed Start

Joshua Institute follows the West Ada school district’s decision for school day DELAYS.

If West Ada schools DELAY their school START time for the day, then Joshua Institute will also DELAY the start of out school day.

However, regardless of what time West Ada call for its delayed start time:

A DELAY START means 10:00 a.m. start time for Joshua Institute.

It is not common, but occasionally Joshua Institute may call a DELAY START for our school day, even if West Ada does not.

Joshua Institute will notify parents of a JI DELAY START by 7:00 a.m. via email.

Again, IF West Ada calls a DELAY START, then JI will call a DELAY START of 10:00 a.m. as well.
