General Information
Please see the TUITION and FEES page for current pricing information.
JI Academy is a non-denominational Christian school for students with learning disabilities (such as Dyslexia or ADHD). However, JI does not require a medical diagnosis of a formal learning disability in order to help students who struggle academically.
While JI proclaims the Gospel message in our weekly chapel sessions and all JI staff adhere to our Statement of Faith (listed under our “About” section), we do not require our families or students to be professing Christians.
Joshua Institute Academy offers a unique and personal approach to education for students with learning challenges in the 2nd – 12th grades. ADHD and executive functioning difficulties often hinder a student’s academic success. Using a multi-sensory approach with Socratic questioning, JI Academy students learn to think for themselves and build success in learning and how to think about problems from multiple perspectives.
> Our Academy consists of six classrooms, each with a max of 10 students:
Two Elementary, two Middle School, two High School (Secondary).
> This 10:1 student to teacher ratio offers each student the time, attention, and
personalized academic plan they need to succeed.
> The Academy school day is 9:00 – 3:00 on Monday – Thursday (4-day school week).
Students are expected to complete assigned structured homework on Fridays.
> Students receive 2/week, individualized 60 minute Educational Therapy sessions during the school day (included in the price of Academy tuition).
> Students are re-assessed annually in order to monitor growth and inform adjustments to their individualized student success plan. JI evaluates standards from a variety of sources in order to develop our Essential Learning outcomes of what we want our students to know and be able to do.
